A video that has gone viral on social media has captured the moment a train station was completely destroyed in Bangladesh.
The video was posted by a user named jeff_k_c, who has since deleted it.
According to Jeff_K_C, the station in the city of Chittagong was a “high priority” for the Bangladesh Railway Station Development Corporation (BRSDC) in the last two months.
The station was built in 2014 and had a capacity of 20,000 passengers, but only 4,000 were used.
The BRSDC says the building has been renovated and will be able to accommodate a maximum of 2,000 new passengers per day.
According the BRSDK, the construction of the new station was “not completed” on time.
However, the BGSB has claimed that the BBS had given the order to demolish the station.
The city council said the BTSD had no knowledge of the construction process and has taken no steps to take it back, the Dhaka Tribune reported.
However, the city council has said that the demolition of the station was not a done deal, but it had been approved by the BSSD, who had issued the demolition order.BBSD spokesman Mohammad Khan told the Dhana Tribune that the building was being built for the BOTSD to operate.
The BBSD was informed about the demolition by BSSDC.
According a spokesperson from the Bangladesh Railways, the building is being constructed as part of the project to construct a new railway station.
He added that the project was already approved by BBSDC.
Bangladesh Railway Station is located on the outskirts of Dhaka.
